Book a free consultation

Finding and matching with a clinician can be overwhelming. I am honored that you have decided to consider me as a source of support towards your goals for your mental health.

If you are interested in additional information, feel free to reach out to me via email below or calling me. If you call, please leave a brief voicemail with your name and your direct phone number. I will call or email you back within 48 hours to schedule a brief consultation call to address what brings you to therapy and to see if virtual sessions are a good fit.

Remember, you are not committing to therapy by scheduling a consultation. A consultation call is not a therapy session. The goal of consultation is to see if my services are a good fit for you. Therapy is an investment in yourself and connecting and finding the right therapist is key in your healing journey.

My private practice and I are not an urgent or emergency contact resource. I do not provide crisis services. Do not call, text or e-mail me if you are having a mental health crisis or life-threatening emergency. Contact the resources below.

Land Acknowledgement

We are located on various stolen Lands that are sacred to a number of Indigenous Peoples, and the land on which I practice long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous Peoples, specifically people of the Gabrielino-Tongva tribe.

I honor and respect the diverse Indigenous peoples connected to these territories on which we gather. I thank the Indigenous Peoples for ensuring continuity of these Lands for generations. I give my respect to the Elders, past, present, and future. I encourage those visiting my website and virtual private practice to increase their awareness of the historical and current realities of indigenous peoples in your local community.

FAQs

  • Individual therapy (50 minute appointment) online for adults 18 years of age and older. I offer secure, HIPPA-compliant telehealth through SimplePractice. Virtual sessions are accessible via your browser and/or smart phone. I do not provide in-person therapy sessions.

  • I am In-Network with Cigna/Evernorth Health Services. I am an out-of-network provider for all other insurances. For clients that are out of network, I provide clients with a superbill for possible reimbursement by your insurance company. Please contact your insurance provider to discuss if a superbill option is available to you prior to reaching out to me via phone or e-mail to schedule a 20 minute, free of cost, consultation about my services.

If I cannot accommodate your financial situation, I will provide you with referrals. It is your responsibility to follow up on the referrals provided. Additionally, you can contact your insurance provider to obtain referrals for mental health services.

  • Therapy is an investment in yourself and your mental health. When choosing a therapist, consider your financial situation, your personal preferences (ie. Do I prefer a therapist that is bilingual? Do I prefer a therapist that is of BIPOC communities?), and goals. Also consider what brings you to therapy and the type of therapy you seek.

  • That depends on several factors! Most clients consider their goals for therapy and finances. I recommend clients start at least as often as every other week so that we can establish a therapeutic working relationship and gain momentum towards your goals.

  • This depends on you and what brings you to therapy. I generally tell clients that it takes time to begin noticing and feeling the results they are seeking to meet. Depending on the goal of therapy and the person, this length of therapy and results will vary.

  • I do not write nor do I provide any type of letters.

  • Sessions cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment start time will be billed the entire session rate.

  • No shows will be billed the entire session rate.

  • A new consumer protection law called “The No Surprises Act” went into effect on January 1, 2022.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.
